Thai Town is a six-block area near Hollywood, Los Angeles, which is home to over 50,000 expatriated Thais. The town is such a gateway for Thais entering America it was dubbed Thailand's 77th Province.
Province 77 is a 2002 action-drama film directed by Smith Timsawat, featuring a diverse cast including Candice Michelle in the role of KC. The movie blends gritty urban storytelling with stylized action, set against the backdrop of Thailand’s underworld. Alongside Michelle, the cast includes Charlene Amatavanich, Van Ayasit, Prinya Intachai, and members of the Thai American hip-hop group Thaitanium2.
